March 11th, 2014 marks the tricentennial of Hunterdon County’s foundation

On March 11th, 1714, Hunterdon County was established, separating from Burlington County. The county took its name from the colonial governor of New Jersey at the time, Robert Hunter.  The Official Hunterdon County Tricentennial Birthday Celebration takes place on March 22nd at 4pm on Main Street in Flemington, NJ. A spectacular parade will take place, followed by fireworks when it gets dark. Birthday cake and hot chocolate will be served. Admission is free.
